In the educational programs of the university, there is the logic of the academic connection of disciplines, consistency and continuity. Educational programs are formed on the basis of modular presentation of educational information and interdisciplinary correspondence. The learning outcomes for undergraduate programs are, in general, in the acquisition of cognitive skills: memorization, understanding, application, for master’s programs – in the acquisition of cognitive skills: application, analysis, assessment, for doctoral programs – in the acquisition of cognitive skills: analysis, assessment, synthesis.

Much attention is paid to the formation of a highly qualified teaching staff. The necessary conditions and a system of motivation are being created for professional development, professional and personal growth of teachers. Maintaining the professional form of the teaching staff, university employees through additional education programs – ensure the successful implementation of strategic objectives, their productive functioning in the workplace, and the development of the personal potential of personnel. The “Policy in the field of digital technologies” developed at the university is aimed at forming the digital infrastructure of the university through the development of the digital ecosystem of the Smart-university and digital services.

There was an expansion of electronic document circulation: at the moment, 90% of all paper office work of the university has been transferred to digital format. The security system of the ACS of the university has been expanded, all data of this system are integrated with the database of the educational portal.

Research and innovation activities of the university in recent years have developed significantly, thanks to the practical implementation of the “triple helix” model. This made it possible to significantly increase funding for scientific research within the framework of targeted program funding, which made it possible to create new research centers and update scientific infrastructure, which resulted in an increase in the publication of scientists, the creation of international research groups and the receipt of prototypes of products ready for commercialization.

The expert group visited a number of enterprises participating in the State Program for Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan (SPIID) to create practice bases. In particular, Kazzinc LLP, on the basis of which specialized groups with in-depth study of special disciplines are organized, working curricula for individual training in specialized groups, educational-thematic plans for industrial training – practical training at workplaces. Among the important points of bilateral cooperation between the company and the university are joint scientific research, examination of modular educational programs for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral studies, refresher courses for company specialists in various areas.

The practice-oriented nature of the educational process and the development of branches of departments in production guarantees the training of specialists who have the ability to apply knowledge, skills and practical skills in professional activities and, as a result, contribute to the employment of future graduates. The financial policy of the university ensures its financial stability.
